On our recent road trip, we passed through Plains, Georgia, the hometown of President Jimmy Carter. It happened to be about lunch time, so my adopted humans, David and Shirley, were ready to take a break from driving.
We had some delicious Southern style cooking at a local cafe. David ate a hamburger but Shirley had soup beans and cornbread. Homemade pie with ice cream was our dessert. It was rural Americana at its best.
After lunch, we browsed in an antique mall where I took a bicycle ride with President and Mrs. Carter and saw a log cabin that was just my size.
